JXtension Is Now jPaq!!!

JXtension has now been replaced by jPaq.  jPaq is a small, fully customizable JavaScript library.  The biggest difference between jPaq and most other libraries is the fact that with jPaq, you only download the functions, objects and classes that you want.  Many of the things that are available in JXtension can be found in jPaq.  Click here to see this fully documented JavaScript library.

JXtension Examples

  • GoToChrisWest.com:
I have integrated JXtension into almost my entire site.  JXtension is used to fade the background color of the header for each page.  It is used to allow the left menu to scroll smoothly after scrolling to a different spot on the page.  It is even used to scroll the page content into view.
  • JXDocs - JXtension Documentation Pages:
I personally feel that the documentation pages are currently the best sources for examples.  These pages show you the code and then allow you to perform the example actions yourself.  You may also modify the code right there on the page and test it out again.
  • Random Fading Background:
The first example that you have probably already noticed is the fading background on this page.  Check out the this example to see how you can use this type of short script with JXtension.
  • Transcript Example App:
This example uses JXtension 1.0 (Full).  It took advantage of the getDarker(...) and getLighter(...) functions in order to color coordinate the rows for the grades.  To check out the app, use one of the following Student IDs:
    • 123-45-6789
    • 918-27-3645
